The new Patch 1 expands the S!MPATI-Software 4.80(.1) from weisstechnik into an improved controller for environmental simulation systems. This includes a comparative evaluation of several recording archives – to precisely analyse the behaviour of various test specimens during different test runs with different systems, for example. A converter that converts third-party programs to the S!MPATI format and thus standardises the control of test procedures and test equipment was also introduced.
With the S!MPATI software from weisstechnik, users control their environmental simulation systems, including data evaluation, in a user-friendly and reliable way.
The update is free of charge for customers who already use S!MPATI. Those who are not yet using the software can download it from the company’s website and test it on up to five systems for six months free of charge.
Evaluate and compare several archives at the same time
The current version 4.80 with Patch 1 of the S!MPATI software from weisstechnik extends the previous merging and analysis of several test archives: now evaluations and image material from different testing systems can be superimposed. This allows users to compare reference diagrams with one another.
With the new functions, test records can be compared quickly and easily. This enables users to evaluate the behaviour of their test material during different test runs in different test systems. The parallel display of images and the graphical representation of the data improves evaluation of the tests. In addition, comments on the evaluations can be stored and exported as a text file (CSV).
Standardise third-party programs effectively
The conversion program developed by weisstechnik Software Consulting transfers third-party programs from other applications to the S!MPATI format so that they can then be used on weisstechnik systems. In addition, S!MPATI can be used to control other machines in the field of environmental simulation, including those from other manufacturers. This makes the software a universal program package with which a wide range of test equipment and complex test situations can be flexibly controlled – no matter whether equipment for climatic tests or material tests.
In order to simplify data exchange in the customer’s process environment, weisstechnik uses OPC UA, the international communication standard for the exchange of machine data. In the process, the recorded information is standardised in a data model and can thus be integrated into other systems, such as MES, SCADA or ERP.
Create 1500 photos in 24 hours
The software module “S!MPATI time labs” documents the tests by photos taken using a camera system flushed by compressed air. With S!MPATI 4.80 the scope has been extended from the previous 1500 images per recording to 1 image per minute – with no time limit. Image recording in the climatic test chambers is possible in conditions ranging from minus 40 degrees Celsius to plus 80 degrees Celsius at a relative humidity of 10 to 95 per cent.
Use the software as a service
S!MPATI 4.80.1 more or less installs itself. No matter whether a version is already installed on the system or not – the new setup either loads the update or a complete full version to the computer. The software runs with the operating systems Windows 10 and 11 as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 and can be conveniently used as a Windows service thanks to the optional S!MPATI Service module. The advantage here is that the service runs in the background of the operating system, independently of user logins and logouts, so recordings are not interrupted.
